The SMPOA wants to congratulate Sergeant Jaime Hernandez on his retirement and thank him for his 27 years of service to the Inglewood and Santa Monica Police Dept.

Before joining the SMPD, Jaime served as a Sergeant in the US Army, including service in Operation Desert Storm.  He attended LASD Academy #252 and enjoyed a variety of details and assignments, including FTO, Detectives, Neighborhood Resource Officer Sergeant and Downtown Services Unit Sergeant.

Instead of riding off into the sunset of retirement, Jaime is headed for a second career with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office as an Investigator.
